This notice covers our website and enquiries. Separate information or contractual terms may apply when we provide a service or handle information on a client's behalf.
Information you give us
Our enquiry form asks for your name, work email, the service you are interested in and a description of what you need. You can also provide your phone number, company, website, timing and budget. These additional fields are optional. We use the information to respond, understand your request and discuss or deliver agreed services. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or passwords in an enquiry.
For enquiries about a potential contract with you, we use information to take the steps you request before entering that contract. For business enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, our legitimate interest is communicating with prospective clients and administering our business relationships. We may also keep records needed to meet legal obligations or handle a dispute.
Website operation and spam protection
Our hosting and website services process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and pages requested to deliver the website, diagnose problems and protect it from abuse. We use CleanTalk to check submissions and visitor activity for spam. This can involve sending form details, an IP address, browser information and interaction signals to CleanTalk. Its purpose is spam and abuse prevention, rather than advertising. See CleanTalk's privacy information.
Our legitimate interest in this processing is running a reliable website and protecting enquiries and our systems from spam and misuse.
Website analytics and optional services
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources and interactions with our website, including whether an enquiry form reports a successful submission. Analytics information can include the page visited, referring source, browser and device information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. Our enquiry measurement records an event and form identifiers; it is not configured to send the written enquiry or your contact fields as Analytics event parameters.
The site uses Google's consent mode. Refusing optional cookies prevents permission for Analytics cookies; Google's tags can still send limited signals about consent and website activity without those cookies. This is different from saying that no request is sent to Google. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We also use Google Fonts for the website's typefaces. When permitted, your browser requests font files from Google and sends the technical information needed to make that request. Who receives information
Information is available to Scale DM and the suppliers needed for the relevant purpose, including website hosting and email delivery, CleanTalk for spam protection, and Google for the services described above. We may disclose relevant information where lawfully required or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Some providers operate internationally and may process information outside the United Kingdom. Their privacy information explains their processing locations and safeguards. Contact us if you need more information about a particular provider or transfer associated with your information.
How long information is kept
We retain enquiry and service correspondence according to why it is needed: whether an enquiry remains active, whether it becomes a client relationship, and whether a record is needed for contractual, accounting or legal matters. You can ask us about the information retained for your enquiry and request deletion where applicable.
Google Analytics is configured to retain event-level data for two months and user data for fourteen months, with user retention resetting when new activity occurs. These controls do not apply to most standard aggregated reports. Cookie storage periods are described separately in the Cookie Notice; deleting a cookie does not automatically delete information already received by a provider.
Your choices and rights
You can change or withdraw optional cookie choices through Cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal. Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, object to processing, or ask for a portable copy. Contact he***@********co.uk to make a request or raise a privacy concern. We may need enough information to verify the request and identify the relevant records.
You can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office. If you are elsewhere, you may have rights under your applicable local law and may be able to contact your local supervisory authority.
