Cookies and similar browser storage help a website remember information between requests. Some storage supports necessary site functions; optional services require a choice. Scale DM uses Complianz to let you accept or reject optional categories and change your decision later through Cookie settings. You can also manage or clear cookies in your browser, which may remove saved preferences.
Necessary functions
Consent-preference storage remembers the categories you accept or reject and whether the banner has been dismissed. Spam-protection storage used by CleanTalk helps distinguish genuine enquiries from automated abuse. These functions support your choices and the operation and protection of the site.
Consent preferences use cookies whose names begin with cmplz_, including the selected categories, policy version and banner status. The current consent configuration remembers choices for up to 365 days, unless you change your choices or clear browser storage sooner.
CleanTalk documents anti-spam storage with names beginning ct_ and apbct_. Its published defaults describe many of these as session storage, while SpamFireWall pass/allow-list cookies can last one month. The exact items used depend on the protection features and browser behaviour; this is a description of the provider’s defaults, not a claim that every listed item is set on every visit. Analytics — optional
Google Analytics uses first-party identifiers, including _ga and a property-specific _ga_… cookie, to distinguish visits and session activity when consent permits. We use the reports to understand which pages and sources are useful and whether enquiry interactions complete. Google's documentation lists a default two-year lifetime for these cookies, but browser limits and site configuration can shorten it. This describes Google’s published default rather than promising an exact expiry in every browser.
Google consent mode can send limited signals without Analytics cookies when optional consent is refused. Rejecting cookies therefore does not mean that every Google network request stops. See Google's Analytics cookie documentation and information about Google partner sites.
External fonts — optional
Google Fonts supplies Rubik and Poppins. Loading these files contacts Google's servers; it is not necessary for the content to be readable. The site can display fallback fonts when the service is refused. The optional External services category controls these font requests; it does not mean the fonts are used for targeted advertising.
Changing a choice
Use Cookie settings, then save the categories you want. You can reject optional services and still read the website and use the enquiry form. Browser settings can also block or remove cookies. If cookies are cleared, you may be asked again. Changes affect future use; they cannot recall information already sent.
